Meet the Band & Caller

Rodney Miller

Rodney Miller

Rodney Miller was designated a “Master Fiddler” in 1983 by the National Endowment for the Arts, served as NH Artist Laureate, 2014-2016, and is a National Heritage Award Nominee. He is widely considered to be the foremost exponent of New England style fiddling, a uniquely American blend of French Canadian and Celtic influences. He has toured the US., British Isles, Australia and Denmark, performed and taught at hundreds of music and dance festivals and recorded many fiddle albums, often playing instruments that he crafted himself. He has composed over 250 tunes, many of which have become standards in the ever-growing body of traditional fiddle tunes. Rodney is currently working on the publication of his original fiddle tunes with a 2020 release date.
Roxanne Oliva

Roxanne Oliva

Roxanne Oliva plays accordion, winds, harp and percussion in a wide range of styles. She has recorded with various luminaries including legendary piper Paddy Keenan and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Tom Waits. She is part of the contra-dance quintet “Whimsical”, and the “Ring of Truth Trio”
Rebecca King

Rebecca King

Rebecca King is a pianist with strong roots in Jazz and Folk Music. A sought – after musician for American Contra Dances and English Country Dances, her interpretations breathe strong, rhythmical energy and deeply moving grace. “Rebecca does more with one hand than most piano players do with two.” – Larry Ungar. Rebecca King writes music and performs with fiddle bands in the US and UK. She lives in Napa with her husband and 4 chickens.
Kalia Kliban

Kalia Kliban

Kalia Kliban has been part of the California Bay Area traditional dance scene since the mid-80s, performing and teaching in a wide range of styles. At dance camps and festivals across the country she has taught morris, longsword, English and American clogging, English country dance and contra, and she’s a regular contra and English caller in the vibrant Bay Area dance community. Her welcoming and relaxed teaching style has helped dancers of all levels experience the joy of traditional dance.
